An electric bicycle performance test measures how a complete e-bike behaves under controlled riding loads. A laboratory test bench can quantify climbing ability, maximum speed, acceleration, range, power demand, voltage, current and dry or wet braking without relying on changing outdoor road conditions.
The complete bicycle is positioned on the test platform and operated against a controlled resistance. The computer runs the selected test sequence, records speed and electrical data, and exports results for engineering comparison or quality-control reports. Because the same settings can be repeated, manufacturers can compare prototypes, motor-control strategies, battery configurations and production samples using consistent conditions.
| Speed range | 0–40 km/h |
| Adjustable wheelbase | 1000–1600 mm |
| Distance accuracy | ≤1% |
| Speed accuracy | ≤2% |
| Electrical capacity | Up to 60 V / 50 A |
| Reporting | Automatic recording and Excel export |
E-bike manufacturers use comprehensive performance testing during R&D, design verification, supplier comparison and end-of-line quality control. Testing laboratories can also reproduce defined load profiles for customer acceptance work.
Yes. The platform supports powertrain, range, road-condition and dry/wet braking evaluations in one controlled system.
Indoor testing improves repeatability because speed, resistance and measurement conditions are controlled and recorded.
